In the fourth round, the fifth Gator heard his name called during the 2020 NFL Draft.
Senior running back Lamical Perine was selected by the New York Jets with the 120th pick of the draft, making him the first Florida running back to be picked in the NFL Draft since Jordan Scarlett was taken in the 2019 Draft during the sixth round.
It's also the earliest a UF back has been taken in the draft since Matt Jones was picked by the Washington Redskins in the third round of the 2015 NFL Draft.
Perine follows defensive lineman Jabari Zuniga — who was selected in the third round by the Jets — in heading to New York.
