Forget how many dozens of players made big plays or impressive plays in the game. Forget that the opponent was one of the worst in the FBS. Forget it all: That was different and that was good. That was a football team playing with purpose, playing on the same page, playing nearly error-free. Going into the game, one of the few requirements I had to mark this as a successful opener was lining up and executing properly without many major mental mistakes.
