When Susan Townsend throws her leg in the air as if she’s punting a football, everything becomes immediately clear.
“Not too bad for 62, huh?” said Susan Townsend, who was doing numerous interviews alongside her husband, Clay Townsend, this week to talk about her Super Bowl-bound son Tommy. The Orlando native will be the starting punter for the Kansas City Chiefs, who will face Tampa Bay Bucs Sunday at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa.
“Do I put my arm down to the side? I don’t know the first thing about punting,” Susan said to her other son Johnny, an NFL punter who joined his parents at Boone High to talk about his brother’s successful rookie season.
