Opportunity for younger UF players develops

Florida’s situation on the offensive line could turn out to be better than it appeared it would be earlier in the week for Saturday’s game against Vanderbilt.

Injured starters Martez Ivey and David Sharpe practiced on a limited basis Wednesday and there’s a chance one or both could be ready to go Saturday, UF coach Jim McElwain said after Wednesday’s practice.

“I would say Ivey is probable, Sharpe would be doubtful,” McElwain said. “Moving forward, good news that our kicker Jorge (Powell) had his stuff on his knee done today and everything went real well there.
