It appears that Jordan Scarlett has a chance to possibly separate himself from the three other tailbacks he’s been alternating with through the first five games.
Scarlett played well again against Vanderbilt and had twice as many carries or more than Lamical Perine and Jordan Cronkrite and five more than Mark Thompson.
Scarlett had 55 yards rushing and a touchdown on 12 carries, while Thompson had seven carries for 11 yards, Perine six for 28 and Cronkrite only two for 13.
When asked Monday if Scarlett’s recent performances could lead to him becoming more of a featured back, UF coach Jim McElwain said, “He's proven that he's been able to do it.
