Thanks to a new safety policy crafted by the University Athletic Association and the University of Florida Police Department, Gator football fans will be sporting a new accessory come fall — a clear plastic bag.
The UAA announced Monday that all Gator football events in the upcoming 2016 season will be subject to the clear bag policy, and spectators will no longer be able to bring in personal backpacks, purses or bags of any kind.
In addition, those attending games are no longer permitted to bring personal seatbacks inside Ben Hill Griffin Stadium and will need to rent them from the UAA’s Gator Seatbacks service instead.
