Braxton Morris has joined the Gators’ staff as a quality control coach who will work with the defense, head coach Billy Napier announced on Thursday.
He held the same position at Louisiana for Napier during the 2020 and 2021 seasons. He helped them rank second in the FBS in passing efficiency defense, third in interceptions and sixth in passing defense in 2020. The Ragin’ Cajuns led the Sun Belt in completion percentage defense and scoring defense in 2021.
Two of their defensive backs were named to the all-conference teams in each year.
Morris played baseball at Morehead State from 2015-18 and was part of the winningest senior class in school history.
