The bad news just keeps on coming for Florida, where redshirt freshman guard Brett Heggie is the latest strter forced to the sidelines for the season.
Interim coach Randy Shannon announced Monday that Heggie would miss the rest of the year with a knee injury suffered in the first quarter of the Gators’ loss to Missouri.
In addition to Heggie’s injury, wide receiver Kadarius Toney and defensive end Jachai Polite are expected to miss Saturday’s game against South Carolina; both also missed the loss to Mizzou.
With those losses, the Gators’ injury count continues to mount toward the crisis stage.
