Tim Tebow’s impending arrival with the Columbia Fireflies has stirred up a little trash talk, Palmetto State-style.
The Greenville Drive, an in-state rival of the Fireflies in baseball’s Class A South Atlantic League, already is expecting Tebow to go down swinging when he comes to town this summer.
Welp, we know who our @BurgerKing #StrikeoutKing @ #FluorField will be 6/13-15. Guaranteed Whoppers for everyone when @TimTebow K's 3x! https://t.co/L4J5OtTMVh

That’s not the first time Greenville — which is a Boston Red Sox affiliate — has taken a shot at Tebow: Before the New York Mets even assigned him to the Fireflies, the Drive compared the interest in the former Gators quarterback to fans getting excited over completion percentage in spring football.
