Florida Gators starting quarterback Malik Zaire suffered a knee injury and was forced to leave the game against the South Carolina Gamecocks.
Zaire took off on a designed run, picking up 23-yards, before he was tackled. He was slow to get up and even initially waived off a trainer that ran on to the field to check on him. Zaire eventually sat down and was checked out briefly by the training staff. Zaire sat out just one play before getting back into the game. The first play he returned Zaire scrambled but fell to the ground when his left knee gave out.
