Lorenzo Lingard received a birthday gift in the form of immediate eligibility for the 2020 season.
The redshirt sophomore announced on twitter, and Gator Country has confirmed, that he had been granted a waiver from the NCAA to be able to play this season for the Florida Gators.
Lingard transferred to Florida from the University of Miami. The running back played in just two games during the 2019 season. A knee injury ended his 2018 prematurely. Lingard only had 17 carries for 136 yards and two touchdowns while at Miami.
Lingard is one of three transfers for the Gators this season.
