The Rays had a light day today in Port Charlotte before they prepare for tomorrow's first full-squad workout. Pitchers stretched and played catch, and catchers threw the bases. And that (aside from picture day) was pretty much it.
"This is probably the best day to get the pitchers off their feet, give their arms a blow..." manager Kevin Cash said. "Everybody threw the ball really well - very well. Very nice to see the accuracy. You don't want anybody going at 100 mph yet. It seemed like the intensity was probably 80-85 percent, and the accuracy was really good by all the catchers that threw.
