The Florida-Georgia game will be moving to Atlanta at Mercedes Benz Stadium in 2026 and Tampa at Raymond James Stadium in 2027 as the teams take a two-year break from Jacksonville as EverBank Stadium undergoes renovations, according to Brett McMurphy of Action Network. The series is expected to return to Jacksonville in 2028.
Georgia head coach Kirby Smart was asked about the change in location shortly after the news broke during the SEC’s teleconference on Wednesday morning.
“It’s been talked about and debated for a long time — for a while, since we’ve known the Jacksonville renovation was going to occur,” Smart said.
