The Florida Gators landed a big transfer at a position of need on Sunday after official visits wrapped up for the Gators.
Penn State receiver transfer Justin Shorter (6-4, 226, Monmouth Junction, NJ. South Brunswick) announced his decision to transfer to Florida on Sunday following his official visit to Gainesville.
“Officially committed,” Shorter tweeted on Sunday.
Shorter announced he was leaving Penn State in November and then showed up to see Gainesville during the Christmas break but it was during the dead period so the Gators weren’t able to speak with him.
The Penn State receiver will now apply for a waiver in hopes of being cleared to play next year after playing two seasons for the Nitany Lions.
