‘Just enough’: UF squeezes past UGA on road

KeVaughn Allen never saw it go in.

After the ball left his hands on a fadeaway jumper from the right side of the three-point line, Allen fell backward onto the court as his shot sailed through the net.

It was a rare sight for Florida.

After a first half in which the Gators missed 15 of their 16 three-pointers and scored just 19 points, tied for their lowest scoring output in a half this season, Florida needed a scoring jolt.

The Gators got it in Allen.

The freshman scored 19 points on 7-of-13 shooting in Florida’s 57-53 win over Georgia in Athens on Tuesday night.
