The Florida Gators still don’t have a starting quarterback.
Florida coach Jim McElwain hadn’t met with reporters since last Friday when he stepped up to the podium for a news conference Wednesday. He said the three-man race between Feleipe Franks, Luke Del Rio and Malik Zaire still was ongoing as the Gators prepare to open the season against Michigan on September 2 in Arlington, Texas.
“I’m not naming a starter right now,” McElwain said. “You’re going to see a bunch of them in there playing. The three guys have done a really good job.”
