Jesuit alum Shane Robinson, ex-lineman Alex Barron among FSU Hall of Fame inductees

Former offensive tackle Alex Barron and Jesuit High product Shane Robinson are among the nine individuals who will be inducted into Florida State's Athletics Hall of Fame next month, the school announced Saturday.

Robinson, an Angels outfielder, posted a school-record 40-game hitting streak during his All-America 2005 season.

FSU credits Barron as the first offensive lineman in program history to earn back-to-back All-America honors (2003-04). He became a first-round pick and spent eight years in the NFL.

The other inductees, who will be honored on Sept. 9 before the home opener against Charleston Southern: Mat Cloer (tennis), Verlyn Giles (golf), Lacy Janson (track and field), Garrett Johnson (track and field), Ernie Stock (swimming), Sally Summer (volleyball) and Charlie Barnes (Seminole Boosters).
