After a couple of months of talks, Florida and Miami announced Tueday afternoon they will open the 2019 season against each other in Orlando. They will take part in the “Camping World Kickoff Game” at the newly named Camping World Stadium, formerly known as the Citrus Bowl.
“We are pleased to have partnered with Florida Citrus Sports and ESPN Events to kick off the 2019 season against Miami,” Florida athletic director Jeremy Foley said in a statement. “Orlando is a great Gator city and we look forward to playing in front of our fans from all over the state of Florida and beyond.
