Of the many things I have taken away from Florida’s miraculous back-to-back wins, the one that has me most concerned is that sophomore safety Chauncey Gardner appears to be playing out of position. At the least, he is having a “sophomore slump.”
While all eyes have been on the offense, I can be a little forgiving because that unit is a work in progress because of suspensions to key players and the resultant need to find new playmakers. But the defense has been a strength for a while now, and there has been some troublesome play from that unit.
