The remarkable run of UF track and field coach Mike Holloway’s program continued Friday night, with the Gators defending their national championship.
The Gators’ road to their fourth outdoor title in six seasons included four individual championships. But UF needed every point it could muster to edge top-ranked Texas A&M 61.5 points to 59.5.
"Anyone who had a Gator uniform on this weekend was a highlight,” Holloway said. “We didn't have one guy that laid down and didn't do their best. There wasn't one person or one performance.
“We're a team, we're a family, and we got this done as a team and as a family.
