Brady Singer leaves Florida with one nagging question: What was the deal with Arkansas?
Singer again struggled Friday against the No. 5 Razorbacks during a 5-2 loss at the College World Series. Florida closes the season with a 49-21 record, while Arkansas improves to 47-19 and advances to the CWS final. UF was ranked No. 1 much of the season, but it struggled late and posted an 8-10 mark during its last 18 games.
Singer, the National Player of the Year, needed 49 pitches to get through the first two innings. He’d only allowed one run to that point, but another in the third and two more in the fifth ended his final start as a Gator.
