GAINESVILLE — Florida’s secondary will be without starting cornerback Jaydon Hill as the Gators’ pass defense looks to bounce back a dismal 2020 season.
Hill tore the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee during a non-contact situation in preseason camp and is out for the season, coach Dan Mullen said.
Hill was expected to start across the field from All-SEC cornerback Kaiir Elam after showing impressive strides last season while appearing in all 12 games and starting five.
“It’s really a tragedy with the amount of work that these guys put in, how hard they put in,” Mullen said.
