GAINESVILLE – Florida Gators star receiver Antonio Callaway was found not responsible following a sexual assault Title IX hearing.
As a result, Callaway is expected to be available for the Gators’ Sept. 3 season opener against Massachusetts.
UF's student conduct and conflict resolution office heard Callaway’s case Friday after an accusation made last December by a female student against Callaway and former quarterback Treon Harris.
Attorneys representing Callaway and his accuser both confirmed the UF decision.
Callaway was accused of violating three UF student code of conduct rules: causing phyiscal injury or endangering another's health or safety; sexual assault; and sexual misconduct, which is described as "any intentional intimate touching another without consent of the other person," according to a redacted copy of the hearing decision.
