The Florida Gators failed to create more final-inning magic against Texas A&M, allowing the Aggies to force a third-and-deciding game Saturday in the NCAA Super Regionals in softball.
A night after second-seeded Gators rallied to a 5-4 win behind three runs in the bottom of the seventh inning, coach Tim Walton’s squad ran out of game down the stretch during a 5-4 loss Friday night to the Aggies.
The two teams will meet against at 5 p.m. Saturday, with the winner earning a bid to the College World Series.
“We just need to play the way we know how to play and take a deep breath and we’re going to be just fine,” SEC player of the year Amanda Lorenz said.
