The Florida women's basketball team dropped to 0-5 in the SEC and 9-9 overall Sunday when Texas A&M defeated the Gators 67-59 at Exactech Arena at the Stephen C. O'Connell Center.
It was back-and-forth action to begin the second half and after Haley Lorenzen's jumper tied the score at 40 with 6:38 remaining in the third, Texas A&M mounted a 14-5 run over the next 5:01 for a 54-45 lead. Ronni Williams, who finished with a team-high 22 points on 11-of-19 shooting, ended the quarter's scoring with a layup and Florida was within seven points entering the fourth quarter.
