Florida won 10 games — just the second time in six seasons the Gators reached double digits — and the SEC East title, but the season ended Friday in an embarrassing manner, and there are a lot of questions about the Gators going into the offseason.
Michigan (10-3) routed Florida 41-7 in the Citrus Bowl, sending the Gators to their third consecutive loss and shredding what had been the nation’s No. 6-ranked defense. The Gators looked uninterested and were picked apart on the ground (225) and in the air (278) by a Wolverines offense that had reached the 400-yard mark just four times all season.
