GAINESVILLE — Florida quarterback Kyle Trask already had some believers when he stepped onto the field late last season at Kentucky.
Yet, when the longtime backup walked off Kroger Field following the Gators’ furious fourth-quarter comeback, few could fathom the turn of events that had transpired.
Wildcats coach Mark Stoops certainly did not still Kyle Trask coming during the Gators 29-21 come-from-behind win. Neither did college football.
“I don’t think anybody knew exactly what you were going to get from Kyle,” Stoops said Wednesday. “The plays you saw from him prior to that, you knew he was a very good football player.
