Florida could have quite the depth chart at running back in 2016.
The Gators added a major piece to their future backfield Wednesday when junior college recruit Mark Thompson pledged to UF.
The 6-foot-2, 230-pounder chose Florida over Arizona State and Louisville, among other offers. Thompson, a native of Wyncote, Penn., plays for Dodge City C.C. in Kansas.
He rushed for 460 yards and eight touchdowns on 84 carries as a backup in 2014. Rated a four-star prospect by Scout, Thompson towers over defenders on film and has impressive speed for his size.
