From zero effort to an off-the-charts one, Florida posted a big bounce-back win Saturday afternoon at home.

The Gators scratched and clawed, overcoming 13 missed free throws and a 3-of-18 shooting day from 3-point range to beat LSU 68-62 at the O’Connell Center.

Florida (10-5, 2-1 SEC) won the game on effort, outscoring LSU 14-11 in second-chance points and 15-6 in points off turnovers. It was a stark contrast in the effort Florida showed in a flat 83-69 loss last Wednesday at Tennessee.
