There are eight phases of Billy Napier’s year-round plan: Foundation, identity, spring practice, discretionary period, summer regimen, training camp, in-season, and post-season.
A large part of the summer regimen (phase 5) consists of the athletes working with the strength and conditioning staff in order to get their bodies prepared for fall camp.
Under the leadership of Mark Hocke, Florida’s strength and conditioning coach, the majority of the roster found significant improvement in the weight room over the last six months.
“I’m really proud of the progress that our team made this summer in phase 5,” Napier said during fall camp media day.
