Gators lure away DE Khris Bogle of Fort Lauderdale from Alabama

The Florida Gators kicked off National Signing Day with a statement, luring away defensive end Khris Bogle of Fort Lauderdale from Alabama.

Bogle announced his decision Wednesday morning at Cardinal Gibbons High School, where he laid out hats from UF, Alabama and Miami on a table before choosing the Gators’ lid.

The nation’s No. 71 overall prospect, Bogle began to have second thoughts about Alabama when defensive coordinator Tosh Lupoi left last month for the Cleveland Browns.

Bogle took an official visit to UF in late January and liked what he saw.
