Gators looks to extend nation-best 28-game winning streak against Kentucky

GAINESVILLE — Kentucky tailback JoJo Kemp has been quiet this week leading up to the Wildcats' annual matchup with the Florida Gators.

Kemp does not need to say a thing.

On Saturday night in Lexington, the nation's longest head-to-head winning streak will be in serious jeopardy. The Florida Gators — winners of 28 straight over the 'Cats — know it.

"This team we're playing is not your same old Kentucky," UF coach Jim McElwain said. "These guys are really good."

Last season, Kemp let the Gators know Kentucky was on the rise and ready to end to their stranglehold on a series dating back to 1917 and played every season since 1967 — just four of those games Kentucky wins.
