Gators look to end three-game skid, boost NCAA résumé in SEC Tournament

The Florida Gators arrive in Nashville this week for the SEC Tournament out of tune and in search of some rhythm in time for the Big Dance.

Coach Mike White’s squad is on a three-game skid and and clinging perilously to the NCAA Tournament bubble.

One win — at noon Thursday against Arkansas — likely would be enough to earn the Gators (17-14) a NCAA bid. Once there, anything could happen for a team with a suffocating defense and enough firepower from 3-point range to cause opponents problems.

A loss to the surging Razorbacks — 17-14 and winners of three in a row — would likely send the Gators to their second NIT during White’s four seasons and end a string of back-to-back NCAA appearances.
