The younger Kitna announced his decision on Twitter Tuesday, becoming the second quarterback and 17th overall commitment in a class ranked seventh by 247Sports.com.
The 6-foot-4, 200-pound Kitna hails from Reedy High School in Frisco, Texas, and is the nation’s 27th-rated pro style quarterback. If Jalen Kitna follows a similar path as his father, he could be a late bloomer and blossom under UF coach Dan Mullen.
Jon Kitna attended Central Washington University without a scholarship and went on to play 43 games and earn a spot in the school’s athletics Hall of Fame amid his long NFL career.
