Gators hope to make mythical three-headed monster a reality at tailback

The Florida Gators had as many as five capable tailbacks during preseason camp. But with the start of games, RBs coach Tm Skipper is eager to see who steps up and earns carries.

GAINESVILLE — The three-headed monster is a myth.

The idea of an indefatigable, unstoppable tailback trio can be a figment of the imaginations of coaches and players this time of year.

Then the games begin and it becomes clear there are not enough carries are available to keep every ball carrier involved.

But the Florida Gators believe they have a beast of a running back rotation ready to lay waste to opposing defenses.
