BATON ROUGE, La. -- It’s late February, and instead of playing its best basketball of the season, Florida is playing its worst.
Another poor start and more defensive lapses doomed the Gators in a 96-91 loss to LSU that was another crushing blow to UF’s NCAA Tournament hopes.
“Every time you lose it hurts,” Florida coach Mike White said Saturday. “Your chances decrease. We still have our chances, but if our guys in the locker room are thinking about the NCAA Tournament, they’re incorrect. We need to be concerned with how we can guard somebody, how we can pass the ball to one another without throwing it to the other team.
