The accolades continue to pour in for Florida’s defense.
On Sunday, two players on the Gators’ vaunted defense were named to The Associated Press All-America team. Junior cornerback Vernon Hargreaves was named to the first team and senior defensive tackle Jon Bullard was named to the second team. (Here’s the full All-America team)
Hargreaves is the first Gators player to be named to the first team since safety Matt Elam accomplished the feat in 2012, and he’s the first Gators cornerback to be named to the first team since Joe Haden made it in 2009.
