Florida can’t afford to take a half off defensively when it concludes a three-game homestand tonight against Richmond.
The Spiders, led by Atlantic 10 player of the year candidate Tony Allen, are averaging 86 points per game and coming off a 94-90 upset of California over the weekend at a tournament in Las Vegas. Allen, a 6-foot-8 power forward, had 34 points and 13 rebounds in the Cal win.
Richmond is shooting 38.6 percent from 3-point range this season, but also can drive and get to the free-throw line.
The Spiders are averaging 18.
