Gator legend Danny Wuerffel's life, good works subject of ESPN's documentary

Former UF star quarterback Danny Wuerffel learned long ago to move on and focus on the next play.

As a redshirt freshman back-up, Wuerffel famously shook off three interceptions against Kentucky and hit Chris Doering for a touchdown in the final seconds to launch a record-setting career that culminated with the 1996 national title and Heisman Trophy.

“I think my experience the past 10 years has been like that,” Wuerffel, 41, told the Orlando Sentinel Thursday. “It was great coaching and life advice from coach (Steve) Spurrier. Whatever the next challenge was, you have to forget about what happened and focus on the next thing.
