The Florida Gators baseball team begins regional play in the 2017 NCAA Tournament this weekend, hosting the Gainesville Regional at McKethan Stadium.
Florida, the national No. 3 seed, is the top-seed in this four-team double-elimination regional event. The Gators open against Marist tonight at 7:00 p.m. That game will air on the SEC Network and can be streamed through WatchESPN.
Marist is making their first NCAA postseason appearance since 2009. Florida has never faced the Red Foxes, who have not won a regional game since 2002. Marist did split a pair of games against Mississippi State earlier this season, and made the tournament by virtue of winning the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference.
