Florida redshirt freshman guard Brandone Francis-Ramirez is transferring, the school confirmed Wednesday.
The 6-foot-5 Francis-Ramirez showed a promising shooting stroke, but could never get on track in his lone season with the Gators. After beating Lee Humphrey in a 3-point shooting contest during Gator Madness, Francis-Ramirez shot just 16.9 percent from 3-point range (10-59), averaging 2.0 points and 1.0 rebounds in 29 games (two starts).
Francis-Ramirez had his best game of the season when he scored nine points on 3-of-3 shooting from 3-point range in UF’s 88-71 win over West Virginia.
