JACKSONVILLE — Former Tennessee Volunteers and current Jacksonville Jaguars defensive tackle Malik Jackson was asked about Saturday’s Florida-Tennessee showdown during his weekly radio show on 1010 XL in Jacksonville. His answer, in part? “I don’t know if Florida’s ready.”
Jackson, who played for Tennessee in 2010-11 before being drafted by the Denver Broncos, was asked whether he believes that the Vols will break their 11-season losing streak against Florida this weekend.
“I believe so. You know, it’s a new Tennessee team,” Jackson told 1010 XL. “After Appalachian State, I think that builds character; it was good that it was tough and it helped us out.
