Quarterback Tim Tebow became a Florida Gators’ legend when Josh Hammond was in grade school.
Hammond recognized greatness even at a young age.
When LSU visits the Swamp Saturday, UF will recognize Tebow by inducting him into the exclusive Ring of Honor.
Dan Mullen, who coached Tebow for three seasons, said the honor “is going to be a pretty special day for all the Gator Nation to be here to come see that.”
Ten years since Tebow led the Gators to a national title, Hammond, now 20, is a starting receiver at UF keenly aware of Tebow’s impact on the program.
