Former UF defensive tackle Taven Bryan will look to keep alive the Gators’ streak of first-round draft picks in the NFL draft.
For it to happen, one of 32 teams will look beyond Bryan’s modest production during three seasons on the field and instead focus on the immense potential of one of the most impressive physical specimens in the 2018 draft class.
Bryan managed just 67 tackles at UF, culminating with a solid redshirt junior season featuring 40 stops, including six for loss.
Bryan failed to dominate a game, much less a season, in a fashion similar to top Gators’ defensive linemen in recent seasons, including first-rounders Sharrif Floyd, Dominique Easley and Dante Fowler Jr.
