Former Gators' OT Jawaan Taylor selected No. 35 by Jacksonville Jaguars

Former UF offensive tackle Jawaan Taylor ended up with the Jacksonville Jaguars, after all.

It was just a day later than most expected.

The Jags traded up three spots Friday night to the No. 35 spot in the NFL draft, ending Taylor’s long wait and landing a right tackle analysts agreed was the best of the 2019 draft class.

After leaving school following his junior season, the 6-foot-5, 314-pound Taylor rose up draft boards due to his power and agility, along with the competition he faced in the SEC.
