Former Florida defensive lineman Caleb Brantley has been charged with misdemeanor battery following a physical altercation with a woman earlier this month, according to Alachua County (Fla.) court records.
Brantley, who was initially listed as the victim in the April 13 incident, was charged Friday.
According to the court documents, Brantley knocked the woman unconscious with a closed fist after she pushed him for making “crude comments” toward her. The woman also lost a tooth, which will require a root canal, as a result of the punch.
Two witnesses identified Brantley to police as the aggressor, the report said, with one witness picking him out of a lineup.
