DESTIN — Florida’s master plan for upgrading its overall athletic facilities is still being developed, but athletic director Jeremy Foley revealed Wednesday that the first new significant upgrade will be for football.

“Doing something for football is the highest thing on our agenda,” Foley said at the SEC spring meetings.

Improving football facilities has been a priority since Jim McElwain became the head coach 18 months ago, and even before.

Some dorms were gutted and rebuilt last summer, the $17-million indoor practice facility was completed in August and the new, $26-million Otis Hawking Center for Academic and Personal Excellence is opening this summer.
