Florida’s offense this decade? It can best be described as ’embarrassing’

There are lies, damned lies and statistics. But when it comes to Florida’s offense, stats don’t lie.

There are just two schools in the 14-team SEC that haven’t averaged 400 yards of offense at least once this decade. One is Vanderbilt. The other is Florida.

In fact, the Gators have averaged more than even 350 yards in a season just twice in the 2010s, in 2014 (367.6 yards per game) and 2010 (351.2). The other four seasons have been 334.0 yards per game or worse.

That period covers three coaches – Urban Meyer, Will Muschamp and Jim McElwain – and five offensive coordinators – Steve Addazio, Charlie Weis, Brent Pease, Kurt Roper and Doug Nussmeier.
