The Southeastern Conference announced today that Florida men’s basketball head coach Mike White has been named SEC Coach of the Year.
White is in his second season with the Gators and led Florida to 24 regular season wins - a win total which is tied for third-most in program history. A few weeks ago Andy explained why White was a shoo-in for the league’s top coaching honor.
This is not the first time that White had been named the Coach of the Year for his conference. White was named WAC Coach of the Year in 2013 and Conference USA Coach of the Year in 2015 while at Louisiana Tech.
