Florida Gators tackle Martez Ivey joined Frank Frangie and Hays Carlyon on 1010XL Jax Sports Radio at SEC Media Day. Frangie asked Ivey what it has been like moving to left tackle this off-season.
“I’m enjoying this process,” Ivey said. “I’m just hoping I get that spot. I’ve been wanting that spot since I was a freshman.
“I was going to do whatever it took just to play and just to help the team, so I played guard for two years. Right now I’m going back out to tackle and I’m enjoying that process.”
Ivey said that he’s getting great work done in practice because of how strong the Gators’ defensive line is.
